Muhammad F Walji, Ph.D
Muhammad Walji is the Associate Dean for Technology Services and Informatics and Professor of Diagnostic and Biomedical Sciences at the UTHealth School of Dentistry in Houston. With funding from NIDCR and AHRQ, Dr Walji’s research interests are focused on using informatics approaches to improve the safety and quality of oral healthcare, with a particular focus on using data from electronic health records. He has provided informatics expertise in the development and maintenance of the SNODDS Dental Diagnostic terminology. He also leads a multi-institutional team that has developed the BigMouth Dental Data Repository, which currently contains data on over 4 million patients derived from EHRs from 11 dental institutions.
